Is URL Length A Google Ranking Factor?

But, what to do when your website auto generates URLs that are longer than what is recommended for SEO?
Do such URLs have some bad impact on your site from Google Point of view?
The answer is simply a NO.
When Google Expert John Mueller was asked about this, he simply said that URL length is not a ranking factor. Google can perfectly crawl and index long URLs. You can check his Tweet below.

But, as a standard practice, it is always advised to think of Users while creating URLs and try to keep them short & sweet. Google really appreciates the effort of making URLs for users.
