Which One Is Better: One Strong Page Or Many Weak Pages?

Many webmasters have a conception that their websites should have more number of pages. Having more number of pages is fine when each page stands for an individual broad topic or idea.

But, if you have one big page and you are chopping that page’s content to create multiple pages then it’s a bad idea for sure. You shouldn’t do that.

In a recent webmaster’s hangout, John Mueller said that, when you split a strong page’s content into multiple pages, it becomes difficult for Google to find out the intent behind those pages.

According to John, there are various aspects of a big longer page which make it useful for a variety of people. Also, a big longer page can cover a bigger group of topic.
