Google Suggests Not to Use Both Responsive Design & Mobile URLs

Why would you have alternate mobile pages and a responsive design?

Though, it is not a standard practice but, here the webmaster’s intention is to provide better user experience.
In its reply, John said, in such cases, Google would probably get confused and which one it should show when. Also, John strongly recommended to use a single URL setup either responsive or dynamic serving.
