Google Added Clear Option for Attributes in GMB

Google uses attributes in Google My Business to describe the various elements of a business and as per Allyson Wright of Google, they have heard from users that continually setting attributes for each listing is tedious.

So, to overcome this, Allyson recently announced that they have added a clear option for business attributes.

With this clear option, users are now not being forced to select Yes or No for attributes offered by their business. This clear option allows users to clear any value provided for the attribute previously.

So, once a user sets an attribute value as cleared, any future Google Updates to that attribute will be considered a secondary update.

Now, the attribute section can be read as:

  • Highlighting the attribute in blue means the attribute is offered.
  • Highlighting the attribute in grey means the attribute is not offered.
  • Highlighting the attribute in white means you are not providing a value for the attribute.
