There is a common belief in webmasters and SEOs that good BBB (Better Business Bureaus) ratings or reviews can help them rank better in Google. But, does Google really consider BBB ratings or reviews as part of its search ranking factors?

Recently on Twitter, Google’s Danny Sullivan was asked about whether Google uses BBB ratings as a ranking factor or not.

Danny on his reply said that Google doesn’t use BBB ratings as a ranking factor.

Previously, in a Google Webmaster Central office-hours hangout, Google’s John Mueller has also confirmed the same thing. John in that hangout clarified that they don’t use BBB as well as any third party site ratings/scores or reviews in their ranking algorithm.
