Gary Illyes on Panda, Penguin, and Medic Update at Search Masters Brazil Event

Gary at Search Masters Brazil event while answering to Pedro Dias about Google Panda and Penguin algorithm said that the Panda algorithm collects information from a website at page-level and impacts the same at the hostname level whereas the Penguin algorithm collects information from a website at page-level and impacts the same at page-level.
Also, when Gary was asked about Google’s recent Medic or August core algorithm update, he said that the August’s core algorithm update was not specifically designed to target the health or YMYL websites and it was just a happy coincidence that the Medic update also impacted sites in that vertical.

Previously, Danny Sullivan of Google had confirmed that the August core algorithm update is Global and now, Gary Illyes has also confirmed the same.
