Google Does Not Give More Importance To Portal Websites In Ranking

Recently on Twitter, Google’s John Mueller was asked about whether Google gives more importance to portal websites rather than static websites in core update. This question was raised when a user searched for taxi related keywords from UK location and Google showed TripAdvisor website in SERP for major keywords.

In its reply, John said, portal websites are not prioritized in Google and also mentioned that even static websites can change too.

No, portals are not prioritized. Also, even static websites change 🙂
