Air Quality Data Now Available in Google Search Results
Posted On : March 29th, 2018 By : Durga Prasad Kundu To : GoogleOnce again Google has added another new feature in its search results for its users. Now users can get an area’s air quality and pollution data from Google. Yes, you heard that right. You can test this feature of Google by searching “Air Quality City Name” and Google will show that city’s air quality and pollution data in its search result.
Google is collecting these data from few sources like “BreezoMeter” and “EPA AirNow”. But, one important thing to notice is that the data shown in Search results is not real time data. To get the real time data and more about that area’s air quality, users need to visit the source itself. Some sources are linked from the company name mentioned in the footer of the answer.
Normally Google gives clickable sources in the bottom of the answer most of the time, so that users can visit the source easily by clicking the link. But here, Google is not giving clickable sources all the time.
In this report, Google along with air quality rating also showing 2 important parameters which are
- Main Pollutant and
- Health Message
Users can get this data both from their Desktop and Mobile.
